Hyper-casual gaming firm, Supercent, has increased its return on investment (ROI) by 33% in comparison to previous campaigns by doubling its campaign management efficiency with the help of cross-channel media buying platform, XMP.
Supercent is a rapidly-growing hyper-casual gaming company based in Korea, having achieved 70 million global downloads within just 2 years of its establishment. In today's interview, we have Seyoung Yoon, Head of Growth at Supercent, who will reveal the secret behind boosting their overall ROI by 33% after adopting XMP.
XMP: Introduction to Supercent
Seyoung: Supercent is a hyper-casual publisher based in Korea, founded in 2021. Within just two years of its establishment, Supercent has achieved around 70 million downloads across the globe and is growing rapidly. I am in charge of the growth team at Supercent, responsible for user acquisition and monetization.
XMP: Can you tell us about the challenges your team encounters?
Seyoung: Hyper-casual is a genre where creatives are crucial. When we launch a game, we create and test over 200 creatives to discover the ones that perform best. However, setting up campaigns for testing on platforms like Facebook involves repetitive tasks that consume a lot of time. Another challenge our team normally faces is that we rely on D0 ROAS as a key metric to evaluate and optimize channel performance. We closely monitor our spending and ROAS, but it was difficult to quickly assess the performance of the previous day because MMP data updates after 5 PM Korean time.
XMP: What benefits have you experienced from using XMP?
Seyoung: Using XMP, we were able to significantly reduce the resources required for creative testing. The ability to create multiple campaigns with just a few clicks on a single screen and upload creatives in bulk is a great advantage. After implementing XMP, we were able to test more creatives more frequently. Furthermore, we were able to measure channel performance more quickly using XMP. With real-time updates of cost data, such as ROAS for each channel, we can review the previous day's performance and optimize campaigns promptly upon arriving at the office in the morning.
XMP: How has using these features impacted your work processes and overall business performance?
Seyoung: Yes, XMP has been a great help in making our workflow more efficient. We have reduced the time it takes to create campaigns by more than 50% and we have been able to conduct twice as many creative tests. By reducing repetitive tasks, our staff now has more time to focus on other tasks such as campaign optimization. Also, by checking the performance in real-time and optimizing it, it was possible to increase the overall ROI by more than 33%
XMP: Would you recommend XMP to others? Who do you think would benefit most from using it?
Seyoung: Yes, I recommend it. XMP is a platform developed by the marketing technology company Mobvista, created by people who have a technical understanding of marketing. XMP is beneficial for optimizing and maximizing our marketing efforts, especially effective for teams that frequently measure channel performance in short intervals. Additionally, XMP is receptive to new feature requests and feedback, actively reflecting them in product updates.
